Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 195. Letters and certificates of Samuel Baker, a Baptist minister who came to America from England in 1834, eventually holding pastorates in Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, Indiana, and Illinois. He was instrumental in establishing Bethel College in Russellville, Kentucky, and Bethel Female College in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The materials from the 18th century and early 19th century are facsimiles.
