Abstract
Finding aid and scan (Click on "additional files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 257. Letter, 17 November 1847, written by Simon B. Buckner, Mexico, to his cousin Mary E. Leedom, Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Kentucky, relating some of his activities while serving in the Mexican War; his 1878 condolence letter to his cousin in Elizabethtown; letter, 1914, written by Delia (Claiborne) Buckner, Buckner’s second wife, acknowledging expression of sympathy received after his death; six funeral announcements, 1842-1862, chiefly of the Leedom family; two photographs of Buckner and one of his daughter, Lily.
