Cole of Grant’s Lick, Campbell County, Kentucky, to the families of P. D. and J. R. Cole (probably brothers Peter D. Cole and James R. Cole). Family news, weather and crop conditions, and mention of smallpox raging in Newport are the main topics of the letter.
