Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "additional files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 585. Letter written from DeKalb County, Georgia, by William M. Davis, to William R. Griffith, Owensboro, Kentucky, pertaining to attempts being made to move the Cherokee Indians from Georgia. Davis was employed by the federal government to induce the Indians to emigrate. He also mentions the gold region that is in the Indian Territory.
