Abstract

Letter, 2 January 1973, to Mr. Riley Handy, librarian, Kentucky Library, Bowling Green, Kentucky, from M. A. Harris, President of Negro History Association, New York City, relative to James Stone, a mulatto who escaped from Kentucky to Ohio and passed as a white man and later lost his life as a soldier in the Civil War. Also, photocopies of pension claim, 1863, and a letter, 1972.
