Abstract

Letter from James Proctor Knott, Washington, D.C., to Adolph Sutro, (Virginia City, Nevada?) the mining engineer who directed the construction of a tunnel for more efficient mining into the Comstock Lode after receiving the right of way through public lands by an act of Congress. Knott, U.S. Representative from Kentucky, affirms that Sutro has his support.
