Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 870. Letter, 21 October 1865, written to “Mon Ami" by Edward Allen, Camp Nelson, Kentucky, advising that he is sending her a lady’s tool chest which he crafted from woods from the rocky cliffs of Kentucky, “the dark and bloody ground” of tradition.
