Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "additional files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 1019. Special Order Number 44, signed by Major General Wheeler, Confederate States of America Cavalry, 8^th Regiment, near Shelbyville, Tennessee, detailing plans for Morgan to proceed to Kentucky with a force of 2,000 in an attempt to destroy the Louisville and Nashville Railroad and supplies. Impressment authorization is granted to Captain McCarthy and assistants
