Original land grant, 1801, May 13, by which James Garrard, Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, granted to William Croghan, assignee of William Pennock by his attorneys, Richard Terrell and Owen Gwathmey, 600 acres on Pond River north of Elkton.
