Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 3286. Letter, 9 August 1919, of James D. Black, Governor of Kentucky, to Orville J. Stivers, Louisville, Kentucky, thanking him for his letter of congratulations on Black’s victory in the Democratic primary for the gubernatorial election in November. Black took office the previous May when his predecessor, Augustus O. Stanley, was elected to the U.S. Senate.
