Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3501. Letter, 13 March 1899, to his uncle James T. Pemberton from James T.(?) Wilson(?) discussing his forwarding of recommendations in connection with a job search. Anxious to relocate, Wilson states that he would make a prospective employer “a good man” and that “Kentuck[y] [isn’t] any good now for a young man.” The letter is on letterhead of the Cave City, Kentucky agents of the American Electric Telephone Company of Chicago, Illinois. The reverse bears advertising copy and images of telephones and switchboard equipment.
