Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 3590. Miscellaneous letters and papers of the Nicholls family of Kentucky and related families: receipts to Edward Ballenger for stock in the Barren County Railroad Company; a letter of Emma Gates (later Nicholls) to James M. Nicholls; a note to Margaret Nicholls from Santa Claus; a brief “History of My Life” by young Cora Gossom; a letter to Cora Gossom (Mrs. R. E.) Morningstar regarding her patronage of music clubs at Vanderbilt University; an apparent division of personal property between Margaret Nicholls and her sister Mary; and an invitation to the wedding of a daughter of Ida Belle (Gossom) Sheehan.
