Abstract

Finding aid and scans (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 3624. Letters, 12 February 1963 and 15 April 1964, of author Janice Holt Giles to Mrs. William F. Barr, Rochester, Kentucky. The first outlines her research and plans for three “Green River” books (one volume was eventually published as Run Me a River) and refers to Mrs. Barr’s assistance in providing informants for the project. The second letter provides her thoughts about an interview in which her estimation of other authors and her own public image were inaccurately reported.
