Abstract

Finding aid only for Manuscripts Small Collection 1839. Research on the departure and readmission of members at the South Union, Kentucky Shaker community, 1812-1892. Some material was copied from journals kept by Harvey Lauderdale Eades. People with multiple admissions were often referred to as "Winter Shakers."
