Abstract

Finding aid and scan (Click on "Additional Files" below) for Manuscripts Small Collection 1885. Letter, 15 February 1921, from Sister Ethel Freda (Mary Ann Melbourne) to a relative, Blanche Heckel, Vinita, Oklahoma. While undergoing medical treatment at St. Angela's Home, Louisville, Kentucky, she discusses her family and life at Mount St. Joseph's convent in Daviess County. She mourns the death of Mother Aloysius, the convent's first Mother Superior, whom she had accompanied to California on a mission to improve her health.
