Description
The first Miss Black Western competition was held February 28, 1971. Participants included first row: Juanita Casey, Carolyn Brown, Addie Shelton, Linda Davis, Elizabeth Johnson and Fannie Cole. Second row Adelle Powell, Janice Henry, Colleen White and Dorothy Bingham. Carolyn Brown of Louisville was the first Miss Black Western crowned.
