Faculty members of the College Street Public school in 1894; first row, (left to right) Mrs. John B. (Elizabeth Hines) Rodes, Annie Barclay, Margaret Calvert, and Mrs. C. E. Balch, second row: Mary Dishman, Catherine Garrison, Mrs. Warner (Martha Porter) Hines, Kitty Covington, Lillian Lewis, Ella Ragland Martin, back row: Alice Barr, Ada Peart, Lulu Hughes Chandler, Jennie Alexander Mitchell and Mattie Hatcher. The occasion of the photograph was a memorial for Professor W. B. Wylie, Superintendent of the City Schools, Bowling Green, KY. He died 11/09/1894. Bowling Green's first public schools opened in 1882
