This presentation was created for the annual Evelyn Thurman Young Readers Book Award luncheon. Most of the photos are from Evelyn's own travel slides. As a young woman, she traveled the world, both as a tourist and as a teacher at U.S. Armed Services Schools. Accompanying the photos are quotations from the contributors to the Evelyn Thurman Oral History Project, also available here on TopScholar.
