Abstract
Irene Daughtrey was born February 25, 1906 in Morley, Missouri to Charles and Minnie (Simpson) Daughtrey. The family moved to Kentucky shortly after her birth. She attended WKU and received her B.A. in 1929. She worked in school libraries in Crittenden and Muhlenberg Counties and the Lindsey Wilson Junior College. In 1953 she was named director of the Kentucky Bookmobile Project and was supervisor of School Libraries, Department of Education in Frankfort, Kentucky. She was married to Arthur Gullette.
