Abstract
Careful is a collection of loosely interconnected short stories centered around a man named Jack, his wife, and the incoming and outgoing generations of their family. The stories deal with familial bonds and divisions, the fear of loss, the pain of absence, and the fragile natures of childhood and parenthood alike.
