Abstract
Eternal Summer is literary/realistic fiction telling the story of twin brothers born into an ultra-wealthy and famously reclusive family. As the twins enter adolescence, they mature at mysteriously disparate rates and eventually become estranged. In this draft, the main drama begins when the protagonist, Lochen, receives a surprising invite from his once more innocent brother to celebrate their eighteenth birthday together in New York City. To his alarm, Lochen returns to find their roles reversed as his brother has become corrupted by a sinister culture of power and privilege. The brothers reunite for a tumultuous, drug-fueled week of partying that forces them to confront the dark family secret that both divides and keeps them forever bound to each other.
