Description
Cook stirring a large cauldron over an open fire with a uniformed soldier standing guard in front. A civilian in suit and hat at the left margin. It is believed that this camp was located outside Savannah, Georgia, where the Third Kentucky Infantry trained. This is one of a number of photographs collected by Frank M. Thomas when he served as Chaplain for the Third Kentucky Infantry U.S.V. in the Spanish-American War.
