This encampment is believed to be Savannah, Georgia, where the Third Kentucky Infantry trained during the Spanish-American War. This is one of a number of photographs collected by Frank M. Thomas when he served as Chaplain for the Third Kentucky Infantry U.S.V. in the Spanish-American War.
