History:
Diddle Park dedicated on the site of Diddle Dorm.
The children of Ed & Louise Diddle, Eddie Diddle Jr. and Mary Jo Phillips, joined WKU President Thomas Meredith on the site of the former Diddle Dorm to break ground and unveil plans for the park.
The park includes elements preserved from the house. The stone used to construct the park was taken from the home when it was razed in 1994. The archway, a focal point in the park, served as a welcoming point for friends of the Diddles and a dormitory entryway for many Western students.
The park was funded by private donations.
