Three shoe shine boys sitting on their shoe shine boxes and listening to the boy in the center read from a book. The photo is captioned at the bottom in white "Coffee-Café." This is one of a number of photographs collected by Frank M. Thomas when he served as Chaplain for the Third Kentucky Infantry U.S.V. in Cuba.
