Description
Clayborne House. This house is located 1.7 miles SE of Route 622 on County Loop Road in Drake, KY. It was built around 1860. This is a good example of I house construction as it is a 5 bay, 2-story, frame I house with a 1 1/2-story frame ell addition. Little is known about the early history of this house, but at one time it had two stairways to two upstairs rooms that were separated in the Shaker style.
