Abstract

Finding aid only for Folklife Archives Project 1191. Student paper titled “The Country Store” in which Charlotte Houk describes the importance of a small-town establishment, Grain’s Grocery, and its impact on the community of Kessinger, Hart County, Kentucky. Houk collected stories from family members, friends, and current residents of the town. Paper also includes black and white photographs of both the interior and exterior of Grain’s Grocery.
