Letter, 5 September 1840, written by Henry Clay, Ashland, Kentucky, to Henry Henion, Rushville, New York. Clay responds to a letter received from the Rushville Tippecanoe Club asking his opinion of the prospects of Martin Van Buren and William Henry Harrison in the upcoming presidential election.
