Description
Barbara Burch was born on August 21, 1938 in Louisville Kentucky. Burch received her B.A. in English from Western Kentucky University in 1959. She then went on to Indiana State University where she received her M.A. and doctoral Degrees. After graduating, Burch came back to WKU where she worked as the first female Vice President of Academic Affairs in 1996, a faculty member, chair of the WKU Sisterhood, and the founder of the Kelly M. Burch Institute for Transformative Practices in Higher Education.
