Description
Blue Grass [48 pounds, cloth flour bag] produced by the Pioneer Mills in Louisville, Kentucky. This white cotton bag with blue inking is typical of nineteenth century flour bags. Many times these bags were bleached and the cloth used for all types of purposes: backing for quilts, utilitarian rags and towels, curtains, even clothing.
