Description
Old Bardstown Mint Julep
Place 1 heaping tablespoon powdered sugar and 4 or 5 mint leaves in a julep cup or goblet and muddle together until the juice of the mint leaves has turned the sugar a little green. Then fill the cup with crushed ice and 1 jigger of Old Bardstown (this suits our taste, but you may wish to add more) and stir continuously until the ice drops about an inch. Then fill cup again with crushed ice and sprinkle top with powdered sugar and garnish with a sprig or two of mint. The glasses should be frosted so make them up a half hour ahead of time and place in your freezer and they will be frosted heavily.
