Modern music in south central Kentucky runs the gamut from the expected traditional bluegrass to heavy metal; hometown choirs to ragtime tributes. Newcomers and old pros, fulltime and part-time musicians. Each hoping to find an audience and a following, some succeeding at local, regional and even the national levels. Some of these recordings are unique and rare demos that received little to no air play.
