Description
Diary Entry for Thursday, April 8th
We left our names for deck chairs also. We sat up on deck until we actually left – and it was quite a thrill to see the New York skyline go by. Also the Statue of Liberty. We walked poor Duncan [Hines] too much though and his leg was bad later on. After we passed Her Highness we went down to our staterooms and had some drinks. Then we went down to dinner at 7 and had a bottle of Pouilly Fuissé with our entrée. After dinner we went down to our cabin and Duncan went to bed while Nell & I sat there and drank a bottle of Champagne. Then we to bed after much Conversation.
