Description
In July 1863 John Hunt Morgan’s men captured the packet steamer, the Alice Dean, used it to ferry his forces across the Ohio River from Brandenburg, Kentucky to Morvin’s Landing, Indiana. and then burned it. This charred remains was reportedly recovered from the bottom of the Ohio River.
