Abstract
This collection of poems tells the story of the speaker’s journey from China to America and the self-discovery and heartbreak that follow. Another thread of narrative follows the speaker’s travels through outer space. An overarching conceit of the collection is its use of science fiction imagery and concepts to express emotional truths. The collection utilizes a variety of poetic forms, both traditional and contemporary, to bind its multiple timelines and narratives into a cohesive whole.
