Description
Susan Crabtree was the first African-American woman to be hired at Western Kentucky University not as a janitor or part of the custodial staff but in the office of Independent Study. She worked for WKU from 1965-1992 when she retired. Crabtree was born on August 10, 1921 in Manassas Virginia. Crabtree died on January 15, 2001.
