Skip Bethune, Matt Presby, Curtis Burch and Jeff Yurkowski make up the Deadnecks. The songs were written by Karl Richards and Bowling Green resident Skip Bethune. Guitar player Matt Presby was a member of the Pure Prairie League. Originally from Florida, he now lives in Lexington. Dobro player Curtis Burch is a former member of New Grass. Kentucky native Jeff Yurkowski plays keyboards and accordian.
What Was I Thinkin? is the followup to the group's hit debut Tornados and Trailers, which is also part of the Southern Kentucky Music Collection.
