Postcard showing Katzenelnbogen Castle at St. Goarshausen on the Rhine River in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany from Ilee Smith's European scrapbook. The castle dates to 1371. Smith noted "Mon. July 7 visit Bonn - Beethoven's birth place then a race to the Boppard for steam to Bacharach made it as the gang plank was being pulled in - Most thrilling 2 hours of fairyalnd scenery. Grapes, grapes, grapes."
