Description
Troop train preparing for departure. Men are standing on top of some of the cars and a crowd has gathered on the platform. The train company is not identified on the cars, but it is believed these are troops that trained in Savannah, Georgia, possibly the Kentucky Third Infantry, and were being taken to Florida for transport to Cuba. This is one of a number of photographs collected by Frank M. Thomas when he served as Chaplain for the Third Kentucky Infantry U.S.V. in Cuba.
